As a member of a crazy soccer loving family, I’ve decided June 11 – July 11 is World Cup Hexagon Month in honor of the FIFA World Cup!
Soccer after all is where I first fell in love with hexagons sewn together!

I plan on sewing tons of hexagons while plopped in front of the TV watching the games. I’d love for you to join me in my little hex-a-long and share your progress. How many hexagons will you make in a month?
I’ve started a flickr group where I’d love for you to post photos of your pretty hexies you make during the month. Please feel free to tweet about the hex-a-long, grab the button, blog about it. Just spread the word! The more the merrier! I know there are a ton of hexagon addicted people out there.

I was thinking when I saw that button how much I love that the hexagons are taking over the world at the moment. You’ll find plenty of hex action at my place!
I am joining in on the fun! I will post it on my blog tonight :0)
Sounds like fun. My first quilt was a grandmothers flower garden. I was 12 when I started it and 18 when I finished it. that was about 40 years ago, maybe it is time to do another.
I may need to join in the fun, especially since I’m already on a bit of a hexagon bender anyway! And those little 2.5×2.5″ packs are called Petit Fours.
I have two hexagon projects going on right now. I will add your button to my blog tonight. Can’t wait to join in!
I always make hexagons, and my smallest ones are 1/4″. You can find them on my blog.
